How I started in Photography?

It all started with these headshots. 10/28/2023

My origin story to photography started with my love for acting. I always saw myself as an entertainer, growing up I was playing video games, watching wrestling, and playing sports. I was naturally charismatic but never pulled the trigger on anything on the big screen.

After a breakup in 2023 I found myself pulling the trigger on the dream of becoming this entertainer. This is were I found Cincinnati Actors Studio hosted by the incredible acting coach Steve Francia. After day 1 he simply said “what took you so long” for it just all seemed to fit. After a few weeks he told me I needed headshots, and a monologue before you even think about LA. Thus one of my classmates named Jaja Smith took these initial headshots for me. I’m a visual learner, so his setup and how easy he made it look, I pretty much took mental notes.

You might ask well, Kam that doesn’t tell me how you got into photography? Well in acting where do you think a camera would fall into place? Yes self taping! I’m all about quality so I went and bought a camera. After extensive research and already being apart of the Sony ecosystem, I went ahead and bought my first love the Sony A7IV.
